Course Title: UCSF Academic Geriatric Resource Center Online Curriculum
Course Number: MED13001
Period of Certification: March 1, 2010 – March 1, 2013
Designation: 10 American Medical Association (AMA) Physician's Recognition Award (PRA) Category 1 Credits (view the American Medical Association website in a new browser window which you can close to return here). The approved credits include 10 credits towards meeting the requirement under California Assembly Bill 1820, Geriatric Medicine for internists and family practice physicians licensed in California to complete 20% of their ongoing mandatory continuing medical education if their practice is comprised of a patient population of which 25% is aged 65 or older.
CE Cost for medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychology, and social work: $50.00 (payable by credit card on the Office of CME's secure website, upon completion of the all 5 Modules, Final Post-test and User Evaluation)

Audience: The AGRC Online Curriculum is targeted to health professionals in multiple disciplines, and CE credit is available for medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychology, and social work.
Accreditation: The University of California San Francisco (UCSF), School of Medicine, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Physicians: UCSF designates this educational activity for a maximum of 10 AMA Physician's Recognition Award category 1 credits. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity. This online curriculum has also been approved for 10 credits toward meeting the requirement under California Assembly Bill 1820, Geriatric Medicine for internists and family practice physicians licensed in California to complete 20% of their ongoing mandatory continuing medical education if their practice is comprised of a patient population of which 25% is aged 65 years or older.
Nurses: For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA category 1 credit issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.
Dentists: UCSF is authorized to award continuing dental education credits by the Dental Board of California and is an ADA CERP recognized provider. This activity has been approved for 10 Dentistry Education Credits.
California Psychologists: This educational activity is recognized by the California Board of Psychology as meeting the continuing education requirements toward license renewal for California psychologists. Psychologists are responsible for reporting their own attendance to the California Board of Psychology.
California LCSWs and MFTs: This course meets the qualifications on an hour-for-hour basis of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Approval No.PCE 1272.
California Pharmacists: The California Board of Pharmacy accepts as continuing professional education those courses that meet the standard of relevance to pharmacy practice and have been approved for AMA PRA category 1 credit.
